The admission requirements of diploma are much easier to be met. Diploma programs are usually commenced in February, June and October. If your academic performance reaches the requirements, you can get to second uni year and some credits can be exempted.

TAFE is a higher education institution that mainly offer vocational training. They have campuses in all states in Australia. Their program design isn’t the same as traditional university. Apart from traditional academic courses, they provide vocation-oriented courses and their duration are among 1-1.5 years. There are tons of choice in TAFE, including business, creative industry, architecture, engineering, nursing, education, tourism, culinary studies, Cosmetology as well as automotive repairmen.
If you want to go on to further study at university, TAFE has a pathway option to get you there. In many cases, completing a diploma may give you a full year of credit towards a degree with one of TAFE’s partner universities.
