Skilled Nominated Visa allows nominated skilled workers live and work in Australia as permanent residents.

To apply for 190 visa , you need to fulfill both the Home Affairs and state nomination requirements of the state.

Requirement:

  • Be nominated by an Australian state or territory
  • Occupation is on the skilled occupation lists (Short-term Skilled Occupation List / Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List)
  • Have a suitable skills assessment
  • Be aged under 45
  • Competent English level (eg at least 6.0 for each part in IELTS)
  • Meet the Health and Character requirement
  • Scored 65 points or more (including 5 points from state or territory government nomination)
  • Submitted EOI(Expression of interest), and be invited

How to be nominated by states?

All state and territory government agencies have their own criteria for deciding who they will nominate, and in most cases, it requires related working experience, and for some occupations, additional conditions are required. It is important to know about different states nomination criteria and requirements. 

 Successful applicants are required to stay in the nominated state for 2 years.
